
Individual Therapy for Teens
Adolescence is undoubtably the most turbulent and emotionally intense stage in one’s life. The transition from childhood to adulthood is characterized by ever-evolving and unpredictable change: physical, emotional, and social. Naturally, navigating these years can be stressful, painful, and overwhelming at times. Yet our society doesn’t typically provide teens much space to explore their emerging identities without judgement, or learn how to express themselves and manage their emotions. Parents will often do their best to create this space, but ironically these are the years when teens instinctively seek to distance themselves as they develop their individuality and independence.
